Christian Hip Hop Station, BOOST 95.5 Hits the Top in St. Louis
Nobody saw this coming.
BOOST Radio’s original, flagship signal. The one where it all began in St. Louis, was recently recognized at the most listened-to Hip Hop radio station in the region. This is so unprecedented that the media is reporting on it.
As of this post, Fox 2 in St. Louis has shared the news, plus TV stations in Utah, Iowa, and California. Not to mention a growing list of industry sites.
BOOST 95.5 in STL has more ears on it than ever before, and most recently, outperformed the local “secular” Hip Hop outlets owned by billion-dollar corporations.
Why is this a big deal?
Thanks for asking! Ha ha (?)
The type of Hip Hop that dominates the globe and radio dial is bankrupt. It’s gone from sharing the stories and struggles of the culture to glorifying everything that holds us back. It’s almost exclusively about violence, addiction, division, and degrading women.
Meanwhile, BOOST is over here pumping God’s Hope and Truth into the airwaves. Our music and DJ’s keep it real; we don’t pretend the struggles don’t exist. But when we rap and sing about them, we also help each other through them and find ways out of them. Plus, honestly, a lot of what happens on BOOST is straight-up wholesome fun.

Not gonna lie. The sudden, unexpected burst of media coverage is fun. It’ll be over soon. And even if it never happened, even if there were no way to measure how many people listen to BOOST, everything else you just read would still be true.
Our world is in pain.
Mainstream Hip Hop amplifies it… BOOST has songs and shows that point to the cure.
On radio signals in St. Louis, Chicago, Minneapolis, Portland, Memphis, Pittsburgh, Phoenix, Fayetteville, and Lansing (not to mention the BOOST app, heard worldwide).
Most importantly: YOU are part of this mission.
If you’ve ever donated to keep BOOST on (because gifts fund us, not advertisers); if you’ve ever told somebody to try BOOST; if you’ve attended our events, shared our app, slapped a BOOST sticker on your whip, then you share in the credit for all the good God is doing here. Thank you. We’re better together.
